Profile

I received my First Degree in Physics (‘Ptychio’) from the Physics Department of the University of Athens (Greece) and my PhD in Theoretical Solid State Physics from the Physics Department of the University of Warwick (UK). I am currently Professor of Physics at the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Sterea Ellada. My previous teaching activity includes: Physics undergraduate courses (University of Warwick, TEI of Chalkida, TEI of Athens, Hellenic Airforce Academy ‘IKARON’), Technical Thermodynamics at the Hellenic Airforce Technical Academy ‘STYA’, Device Physics (MSc course, University of Athens and IMEL/ NCSR ‘Demokritos’) and Transport Properties of Solids (2nd cycle SGM, INSA de Lyon). I have conducted research at the University of Athens and at NCSR ‘Demokritos’ at the Institute of Materials Science (IMS) and at the Institute of Microelectronics (IMEL). I was collaborative researcher of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN), NCSR ‘Demokritos’. I was visiting professor and researcher at MATEIS, INSA de Lyon (France), at LEMTA, University of Lorraine (France) and the Physics Department, Nanometer Structure Consortium, Lund University (Sweden).
