Research Interests

My research is in theoretical condensed matter physics and computational modelling. I have worked in: percolation theory, conductivity of disordered media, scattering mechanisms and thermoelectric transport properties of low-dimensional semiconductors, phonons in low-dimensional structures, magnetic properties of magnetic nanoparticles, electronic states and optical properties of Si nanowires and nanocrystals, thermoelectric transport properties of quantum dots and nanowires. My current research focuses on the electronic, optoelectronic and thermoelectric properties of nanostructures and nanocomposites and on the energy conversion and production at the nanoscale.
